dear friends...

yes, it's me. and yes i AM still alive. i think. there is no time for story-telling at this late hour -- my heavy eyelids will not allow it. i will just say that my self-prescribed "fall-o-fun" has turned out to be the fall-o-craziness and i have now discovered a whole new level of BUSY. during the lazy days of summer, when i was in desperate need of shakin' things up, it sounded like such a good idea to fill my monotonous weekdays w/ activities and such. and so, in attempt to "baby step towards my dreams" and "step out of my comfort zone" etc., etc. i did things like: 1) enroll in classes, specifically an "intro to art therapy as a career" class, and an intro to acting class ... and 2) sign up for voice lessons and 3) enter myself into a vocal competition which means preparing like a mad woman for an audition that will take place next week which scares the LIVING DAYLIGHTS out of me ... and 4) schedule a gig (ps: tomorrow night at caffe vivaldi, 9:30) ... and etc. etc.

NOW. throw into THAT mix JURY DUTY and voila: fall-o-craziness 2008 begins!! i found out today, after two very long and grueling days of sitting around the Supreme Court House, that I have been selected to serve as a member of the jury for a very important and serious case. oh, and no big deal, it's going to take at least three weeks.

big. deep. breaths.

so please forgive me for not showing up here as often as i used to (or as often as i would like). i will try my best to check in now and again to share tidbits and anecdotes about my life as a juror (without divulging the confidential details, of course), and my life as an actress, and my life as a singer, and my life as an art therapist and so on and so forth. if i can stay awake long enough to report it back to you, you know i'll be here w/ bells on. so...until then, my friends...
